Of the three members of Tripletime, I am the least animal oriented.  Don’t get me wrong, I like the dogs, especially the puppies, but I don’t have the same...we’ll use the word passion...that Randy and Johnnie share.  Whenever possible I leave all the grooming, breeding, training, showing and judging to them and spend my time working on the computer, gardening, reading or watching movies.  Randy and Johnnie flatter me and tell me that I have an “eye” for dogs and can see things that others cannot, but I am not fooled...they are just buttering me up to trick me into working in the kennel!

Some of my favorite memories from my youth revolve around the summers spent on the farm where my mother was raised.  There was something about the fresh air and the dirt under my feet that made me feel connected to it.  Helping my uncle irrigate, plow or harvest was very enjoyable and seemed like the perfect life for me.  I did not mind the hard work at all.  My grandmother was an excellent cook and I still remember her and my mom turning all those fruits and veggies into preserves, pickles and other canned goods.  I myself do a lot of canning: chow-chow, pickles, preserves, canned beans and canned tomatoes are overflowing our utility room shelves at all times!

I am a true Georgia native, born and raised in Warner Robins, south of Macon.  I am the middle of three children with an older sister and a younger brother.  Despite, or perhaps because of being a middle child, son of a “type A personality” banker-father, I have always been very goal oriented, very personable and interested in almost everything...it literally took me YEARS to decide what I wanted to do with my life!  My parents are two of the most wonderful people that you could ever hope to meet and they were remarkably patient with me and encouraged me to always do my best.

In addition to gardening, I enjoy reading mysteries, sketching and making improvements to the property, landscaping, etc.  I am also a big science fiction buff!  You’ll never see me in costume but I am a big Star Trek fan!

I actually enjoy working as well!  For years I worked in retail and held positions which ranged from stock boy to department manager, buyer and even human resources/staffing.  In 1996 I decided that it was time to move on and went back to college.  In 2000 I graduated with a degree in Computer Information Systems and have been working with databases and reporting systems ever since.  Today I am a Senior Systems Engineer with a prominent internet company.
