What can I say?  I’ve been an animal nut since I was a little boy bringing home tortoises and horny toads that I would find as I followed my grandfather around the farm.

I grew up in Brownfield, TX, on a cotton farm and I have always been drawn to that kind of life.  My career took me away to the big city but, here at Tripletime, I still have a piece of the country life on our 3.5 acres.  It is so pretty here.

I always had an old horse around to ride growing up, lots of cows around the place and showed all sorts of animals in FFA.  I think that is why, when the chance presented itself, I took to showing dogs with zest!  My favorites are the hounds and the toys—very different, I know.

I am considering applying for my AKC judges license soon but I am just not sure that I am ready for that chapter of my life to open.  I am still having so much fun exhibiting and, even though it is possible, it would be tough for me to concentrate on both showing and judging.

I have several little Nigerian Dwarf Goats that keep me laughing constantly and I can’t wait until there are little kids running around at Tripletime!

Top Left: Me and my Grandma, Mary Corning Roe, in her back yard in Brownfield, Texas, 1968

Top Right: My Grandpa, C.M. “Mon” Roe, with a couple of his coyote hunting hounds and an unlucky coyote, June 1969.  I look so much like him now, it’s scary.

Left:  Me and a prize winning Duroc gilt that I bred in 1983.  I also had the breed champion Duroc that year but I can’t find that picture...Look at that crazy hair!

Bottom Left:  A picture I took on a trip home to Brownfield in Spring 2005.  It is the corner of the place we called the “Snake Farm”.  No trees & lots of sand!

Bottom Right: The 2007 cotton crop was one of the best in a long while.  My sister took this picture from my family home with her cell phone camera and sent it to me.

Since I quit smoking when I turned 30, I have always tried to stay active and healthy.  All of these pictures are from 1999 to 2003-ish.  Oh, I do have 5 tattoos.

Above: CH. Rhetoric Radical Redhead.  He went on to a Toy Group 4 this day.

Top Right: CH Thistleglen Nola.  This Scottish Deerhound bitch won 3 of the 4 days in Louisville, KY.  She finished that same weekend.  Her sister is the famous Margot! Westminster Group Winner!

Right: I judged the whippet puppies in Louisville around 2003.  This beautiful bitch now resides in Japan.

Below Left:  One of the most incredible Borzoi to ever live!  MBIS, MBISS CH. Ksar Majenkir My Fair Lady, owned by myself, Susan Pennington and Roni and Jennifer Zucker.

Below Right:  CH. Dubell’s Best Kept Secret winning her first of 3 majors that she won prior to finishing.  Her father’s name is Johnny so I think it was just meant to be…

Above: Me and my first Whippet champion, CH. Alerek’s Charwin Koala, Wallie.  Her and Kodi (below) were littermates and my pets.

Left: Me and Randy on my 41st birthday going to the AIDSwalk.  I raised over $600 thanks to my friends.

Below: Me and BISS CH. Alerek’s Charwin Kodiak, my first specialty winner, in 2007 at Tripletime. I am holding him up, he is so old in this picture.

Below Below: Me with Wallie and Kodi in 2005.  I miss them so much.
